The Castle Zombie Run
Can we compete in teams?
We encourage you to bring all of your friends and family to participate! More potential zombie bait so you survive! However, we have no discounted rates for teams.
Can I wear a costume?
Yes! Costumes are encouraged! You can wear any costume as long as it is appropriate for the general public, and will not harm you or other participants (no sharp edges, nothing that will trip you or others, no weapons, etc). Did you know? Zombies have a hard time seeing costumes. Really.
What about spectators?
We love people-watching! You are welcome to take pictures, and cheer everyone along, including the zombies. However, only registered runners and staff will be allowed on the course.
I’m not in great shape, can I still run?
Absolutely! This event is designed for all skill levels. There are more mental obstacles than physical obstacles, and everyone should be able to navigate the route. If you have a medical condition of any kind, please know and respect your limits and alert a course volunteer if you need to bypass an obstacle.
How many obstacles will there be?
There are about 13 obstacles. On top of hordes of zombies, of course. Better bring your A game!
How difficult are the obstacles?
The obstacles will vary in difficulty but will be more mental than physical, and designed for all ages.
Can I skip an obstacle?
Yes, if you cannot complete an obstacle you may bypass it. However, obstacles are made to protect you from the zombies so we cannot guarantee that you will not be infected in that process. Alert a course volunteer to show you the route.
How old do I have to be?
On race day you must be 10 years or older. If you are under 16 you must have a parent or guardian with you at all times on site. Under 18 must have consent from a parent or guardian when you register online.
Will you guys refund my money?
Sorry, if you cannot make the run we cannot refund your money. Consider it a generous donation to a worthwhile cause!

What happens if I get infected?
Awwww….too bad! Just kidding. If you get infected, you may still finish the race, and you will still get a medal. It will say “Infected,” but we think you are super cool for finishing anyway! Some of us think the “Infected” are waaaay cooler.
Can I bring weapons to fight the undead?
